Preparing for Your Fine Line Tattoo
Hi, I’m Braden, the artist behind 97 INK. Getting a fine line tattoo is such a personal and exciting experience, and I want to make sure you’re fully prepared to get the best results possible. Here are some tips I recommend to help your tattoo look its best and heal beautifully.
Before Your Appointment:
Hydrate Your Skin
Start moisturizing the area daily at least a week before your appointment. Hydrated skin holds ink better and ensures smoother tattooing.
Avoid any sunburns, cuts, or scrapes in the area you’re tattooing—healthy skin is key!
Stay Hydrated and Rested
Drink plenty of water leading up to the appointment to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out.
Sleep well the night before so you’re feeling relaxed and ready for your session.
Avoid Blood Thinners
Skip alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, or anything that could thin your blood for at least 24 hours before your appointment. This helps prevent excessive bleeding and makes the tattoo process smoother.
The Day of Your Tattoo:
Wear Comfortable Clothing
Choose loose, comfy clothes that make it easy to access the area being tattooed. No one wants to wrestle with tight jeans mid-session!
Eat a Good Meal
A hearty, balanced meal will help keep your blood sugar steady during the session (tattooing on an empty stomach is no fun).
Bring Snacks and Water
If your session is longer, feel free to pack snacks and a water bottle. Staying fueled helps you relax and enjoy the experience.
Preparing ahead of time helps me create a tattoo that not only looks amazing but also heals well. When you walk into my studio, it’s all about bringing your vision to life with crisp, clean designs.
